Practice your read aloud skills by reading to Tillie and Kelsey, our therapy dogs.
Saturdays from 11:00-11:45 am
This is not a storytime and participants are typically in kindergarten through second grade.
Tickets are required, free and limited. They will be available at 10:00 am at the Children's Desk on the day of the program.
Kids Winter Reading Challenge
2/1/18 - 3/31/18
For kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. Stop by the Children's Desk to pick up the reading map. Complete a path to get a prize while supplies last! We encourage children to read any books they choose on their reading level.

2/1/18 - 4/28/18
Children 5th grade and younger may submit up to three original books for in-house check-out at the Library. Complete Rules of Participation can be found here.
There will be four separate Young Author's Receptions held on Saturday 5/12/18. Online registration is required and will go live here on Saturday 4/28/18. Authors will only be allowed to participate in one reception.
March Manga Madness Art Contest
For 4th-12th graders
Submit your original artwork between 3/1/18 – 3/24/18
in either the 4th-8th grade or 9th-12th grade category.
Two different prizes will be awarded:
- Grand Prize is 2 tickets to Anime Fest (one adult, one youth). The winner of this prize will be chosen by community leaders who vote on their favorite piece.
- Popular Vote Prize is a Barnes and Noble Gift Card. This winner will be determined by the votes of our patrons. Voting begins 3/26/18 and ends on 3/31/18. All patrons may vote once that week.

This is a self-directed activity. One prize per day per child while supplies last.
